The Subconscious Mind is Key to Success

Have you ever wondered why change can be so darn HARD? I was in that frustrating cycle of trying to be healthy then falling off the band wagon after a few days. For years thinking life happens and it's just me. Until one day, I found myself staring at rock bottom. Through self development, I discovered how the subconscious mind is key to success.

Life on Autopilot

I was astounded to find out that we have an average of 60,000 thoughts in a day and 80% of them are negative. Can you imagine if we were conscious of all our thoughts? Seriously, I imagine myself rocking in the corner of a room wearing a straight jacket.

The subconscious mind sorts through 2 million plus bits of information it receives from all our senses per second and controls 95% of what we do daily, so to conserve energy it puts action into autopilot. Those times of relaxed and focused attention, when zoning out watching TV, listening to the radio, reading a book, driving a car? You are on autopilot and effectively on a state of self-hypnosis.

Ever wondered how Alan Carr got people to stop smoking after reading a book? It's called programming. In the moments when your subconscious mind has taken over, it is still ‘listening’, taking in all information and saving it in the data bank for reference later.

Creating New Habits and Lifestyle Change

Quite simply, most of us give up way too soon. Depending on what the old habit is and how long this has been going on, it can take at least 21 days to create a habit and 90 days for this to become part of a new lifestyle.

If you want a quick and effective way to get to resolve a problem, you need to access the subconscious where change happens.

1. Identify the habit you want to break and raise awareness every time this happens so you can consciously make a choice.

2. Get to the root cause of the problem, understand it and change its meaning to alter your thoughts.

3. Finally, the one thing to remember - the mind learns by repetition, so repeat until it becomes autopilot much like driving a car.

Accessing the Subconscious Mind through Hypnosis

For years I brushed off hypnotherapy after seeing people making fools of themselves on stage. The thought of someone making me act like a chicken was a no-go zone, but now I know hypnotherapy is not like stage hypnosis. While there is a very small percentage of people that is suitable for stage hypnosis, you really cannot be made to do anything you don't want to.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) goes beyond traditional hypnotherapy, incorporating positive aspects of Hypnotherapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Psychotherapy and Neuroscience. During an RTT session, you are guided into a deeply relaxed alpha brain wave state that feels like meditation.

RTT has helped me when traditional talk therapies failed to get me to talk about my problems, and opening a dialogue with the subconscious mind led me to a whole new realm of limitless possibilities. After experiencing RTT and seeing the amazing results my clients had after just one session, I have no doubt that the subconscious mind holds the key.
